AT&T Launches 4G LTE Dallas/Fort Worth, TX

On Sunday, September 18th AT&T officially launched their 4G LTE service in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX providing faster data access for customers. The coverage can be found as far north as Denton and Mckinney, TX and all the way down to Arlington and Duncanville, TX. Their LTE service is designed to offer customers a service that is 4 times faster than their current 3G HSPA+ network, which should yield speeds comparable to Verizon's 4G LTE network. The only big difference is Verizon 4G is currently available in 143 markets, while AT&T's initial LTE launch only includes 5 markets currently. The area in dark blue represents their new 4G LTE network in the picture above. Dallas's population alone is around 2.5 million POPs so this one market alone will yield a lot of potential customers craving faster data access.
