
CLEAR and Sprint launched their 4G WiMAX network in several new markets today: Modesto, Calif., Stockton, Calif., Jacksonville, Fla., Wilmington, Del., and Grand Rapids, Mich. Below is an excerpt from CLEAR's press release announcing the launch in Stockton and Modesto:
Clearwire Corporation (NASDAQ:CLWR), a leading provider of wireless broadband services and operator of the fastest 4G network in the country, today announced the availability of CLEAR(R) 4G, super fast mobile internet(R) service for businesses and consumers in Stockton and Modesto, California. With CLEAR, anyone can now use the Internet at speeds four times faster than 3G* - whether at home, in the office, or on the go - within CLEAR coverage.
In Stockton, CLEAR covers more than 616,000 people with service extending as far north Lodi, northeast as Lockeford as far south as Manteca and southwest to Tracy. In Modesto, CLEAR covers more than 500,000 people with service extending as far north Ripon, northeast to Oakdale; as far south as Delhi, southwest to Hilmar. In conjunction with today's launch in Stockton and Modesto, Clearwire also launched CLEAR 4G in Wilmington, Del.; Jacksonville, Fla., and Grand Rapids, Mich.
