(Enable Data Usage Monitoring and Alerts)
Today Cradlepoint released 3.3.0 firmware for the
CTR35,
CBR400,
CBR450,
MBR95 and
MBR1400 3G/4G routers. This release marks a major upgrade adding several new features to their routers that users have been requesting for quite some time now. This update will help further optimize a users experience over the
Verizon 4G LTE network by making the connection more reliable. In the past there have been some users reporting disconnect issues, which we discovered was a combination of
Verizon's network and router firmware.
Here are some highlights of the new 3.3.0 firmware: - Load balancing two 4G WiMAX or 4G LTE modems - Previously users could only utilize one 4G connection in a load balancing configuration
- Nat-less Routing - Configure Ethernet for "Standard" mode, which provides no Network Address Translation for a drop in solution (Available on Select Models)
- Modem Data Usage and alerts - Monitor and configure bandwidth alerts to manage your monthly data consumption
- Command Line SSH (Experimental feature) - Use a command interface to enter the router locally or remotely
You can find all of the new features in
Cradlepoint's release notes, that go into more detail about all the enhancements they've made. We recommend upgrading to this firmware if you've been having issues with your LTE or WiMAX modem, and would like to take advantage of these new options.
