Cradlepoint Firmware 1.8.0 for CTR500/MBR900/MBR1000/MBR1200/CBA750/CBA250/MBR800 adds Support for Verizon LTE Modems & More

CradlePoint has released Firmware Version 1.8.0 that provides the MBR1200, MBR1000, MBR900, CTR500, CBA250, CBA750, and MBR800 with official support for more modems (including both of Verizon's 3G/4G modems and two popular AT&T modems), new features, and bug fixes.
Firmware 1.8.0 adds support for the following devices:- Verizon Pantech UML290
- Verizon LG VL600
- AT&T LG AD600 (“Adrenaline”)
- AT&T Sierra Wireless AirCard 308 (“AT&T USBConnect Shockwave”)
- AT&T Huawei E1815 (“USBConnect 900”)
- CLEAR Huawei FWH-USB0328 (“4G Mobile USB Series H”)
- Claro TCT Mobile X220Y (“One Touch X220Y”) (Puerto Rico)
- Claro Verykool M950 (Puerto Rico)
- Cricket ZTE AC3781
- Strata Networks Franklin U210
- Tata Teleservices EpiValley SXC-1080 (India)
- Telstra Sierra Wireless AirCard 312U (“Ultimate”) (Australia)
- Vodafone ZTE K3570-Z (UK)
This latest firmware version also provides a few new features:
- Added ability to disable USB High Speedmode (Modem->Settings page) for modems that have communication problems at High Speed.
- Added support for TTLS client identity on WiMAX modems. Added ability to configure the Authentication Protocol for WiMAX modems (Modem->Settings page). Supports Sprint's Data Link with Sprint 4G devices.
- Added support for WiMAX idle mode.
- Updated WiMAX modem file (current version is 5.2.226)
- CBA products now support LAN link speed and duplex settings configuration (Basic -> Network page).
- Added WAN PING support to CBA products when running in configuration modem (Basic -> WAN page).
- Added Dynamic DNS support to CBA products when running in configuration modem (Tools -> DynDNS page).
- Updated VNP code on the MBR1200 and MBR800 routers.
There are also a couple of new features:
- Added TTLS-CHAP client identity support on WiMAX modems
- Added Sprint’s Data Link configuration interface for 3G devices
- MBR1200, MBR800 only. Enhanced IPSec VPN end-point support: NAT Traversal (NAT-T)
- MBR1200 only: Enhanced 2nd WAN port configuration.
Finally, firmware 1.8.0 has fixed the following bugs:
- Blackberry device can now reconnect after the router is rebooted
- IPSec VPN end-point. Fully restores tunnel if tunnel is dropped by external router
- IPSec VPN end-point. Reassembles ESP fragment packets correctly
- Resolved VPN pass-through PPTP issue introduced in 1.7.5.
- CBA250, CBA750 only. Eliminates Windows IP address conflict message.
