In first quarter of 2009 Cradlepoint will release a new router that will be compatible with both 3G and 4G modems, including Sprint's U300 modem and Clearwire's Motorola w100. The upcoming MBR1100 is essentially a souped-up version of the existing 3G MBR1000 that adds support for the two aforementioned 4G-capable modems as well as VPN; it will also be compatible with a long list of 3G devices (see 3G router compatibility chart for full list). With the MBR1100, users can share their Clear or Sprint 4G service with multiple computers, provide a backup to their primary wired ISP by utilizing the router's automatic failover capability, and much more!
