According to Mashable, Google executive Andy Rubin tweeted this week that over 300,000 Android devices are activated everyday. Back in February Google CEO Eric Schmidt said that they were shipping around 60,000 Android devices per day, which represents a 5X increase in sales per day in under a years time. This increase can be attributed to the large variety of phones that operate on the OS like the HTC EVO 4G and Samsung Epic 4G. Devices like this offer users a very open platform that allows them to easily stay connected to their friends, family and business colleagues. We anticipate that Android will continue to grow as new models are developed (first quarter 2011) to support Verizon's LTE network that launched last week.
