Sprint has officially announced to via an invitation to reporters that their XOHM network is set to launch in Baltimore on October 8th, and assured that they are indeed ready. They have tirelessly tested the network and are ready to release it to the public despite a couple holdups, including the fact that the big Clearwire merger has not officially gone through the FCC yet.
Another announcement is planned for next week that will offer information on pricing and available devices.
They were originally planning to launch slightly earlier in the month, but had to push the date back to after Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah so that all executives would be available to participate in the big "grand opening."
