LG's LTE Modem Approved By The FCC

With Verizon's LTE network nearing the release phase, it's nice to hear news that LG's LTE modem has been approved by the FCC! Their new modem will be designed to operate on the standard CDMA EVDO 850/1900Mhz frequency as well as LTE's 700Mhz frequency band. LG's VL600 could potentially be the first available LTE capable handset for Verizon. Details aren't clear if this device will feature any type of 4G antenna ports similar to the new Sierra 250U designed for Sprint. Rumors are still floating around that November 15th will be the date when their LTE network officially goes live. News of the LG VL600 LTE modem help confirm that the November 15th date may in fact be correct!
