According to
Ubergizmo the
Sprint Overdrive might be getting a 3G/4G capable companion or replacement with the introduction of the Novatel MiFi 4082. The device showed up in a recent FCC filing and we know it will be WiMAX 4G capable. Novatel originally made hotspot devices popular with the introduction of the MiFi 2200, which was an instant hit amongst consumers. Even though the specifications or size of the 4G version are unknown at this time we anticipate that it will be a small form factor portable device like its 3G cousin. We don't know if this will be a hybrid device like the Overdrive or be a 4G only device similar to the
CLEAR Spot 4G. We have been waiting for the
MiFi 4G since we wrote about it 9 months ago and talked about the
MiFi 4G on our forums.
