Sierra Wireless Confirms iPad Issues With Overdrive

When the iPad originally launched, many users had issues connecting it to their Sprint Overdrive units. We soon discovered that there was a conflict using WEP security between the devices and published a simple solution to solve this problem. This solution involved changing the security from WEP to WPA/WPA2 Personal (more secure than WEP too). Leaked documents confirm that Sierra Wireless agrees this is the problem and they're giving the same exact solution we provided after the iPad launched. If you missed our instructions on setting things up, simply follow these steps to enable WPA/WPA2 Personal on your Overdrive and you'll be able to connect your iPad.

Instructions to set up WPA/WPA2 Personal on the Sierra Overdrive:

1. Connect to your OverDrive on your computer
2. Open a web browser and go to the following address: http://192.168.0.1
3. Enter your administrator password, by default the password is password
4. Click on Advanced Settings at the top of the page
