Sprint 4G Expands to Waco, Salem, Lubbock, and More!

sprint logoSprint 4G users, take note - you can now access the super-fast 4G WiMAX network in 10 additional US cities! Sprint has officially launched their 4G service in the following markets: Lubbock, Texas; Waco, Texas; Corpus Christi, Texas; Wichita Falls, Texas; Midland-Odessa, Texas, Killeen-Temple, Texas; Abilene, Texas; Amarillo, Texas; Salem, Oregon; and Milledgeville, Georgia. The newly launched cities are no major surprise, as Clear had already launched their service in those locations earlier this year and Sprint uses Clear's network for their 4G, but this is still a major step forward for Sprint and makes their 4G service an even bigger value than before. Sprint charges just $69.99/month for combination 3G and 4G service, just $10 more per month than their 3G service - for lucky users in these new markets or the few other markets already launched by Sprint, this is a great bargain.

What's next for Sprint 4G? Per their press releases announcing the latest launches, they plan to deploy Sprint 4G service in these additional markets in 2009: Chicago; Dallas - Ft. Worth; Philadelphia; Austin, Texas; Charlotte, N.C.; Greensboro, N.C.; Honolulu; Maui, Hawaii; Raleigh, N.C.; Salem, Ore.; San Antonio, Texas and Seattle, plus more markets in 2010, including Boston, Houston, New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
