Sprint ready to bump 4G upload speed cap, will raise WiMAX to 1.5Mbps

When Sprint launched their 4G WiMAX network they offered network download speeds of 3-6Mbps with bursts over 10Mbps and an artificial upload limit of 1Mbps. Until the launch of Verizon's 4G LTE network, Sprint's 4G WiMAX network offered one of the fastest wireless upload speeds. With Verizon 4G LTE users enjoying upload speeds around 2-5Mbps Sprint has decided to start raising their upload limit to 1.5Mbps, which equates to a 50% speed increase for Sprint customers. This may not sound as attractive as Verizon's upload speed, but remember with Sprint, you're uncapped and can upload as much as you'd like without any additional fee's! The Sprint spokesperson didn't indicate a specific date when users would see the increase hit, but did say all of their 4G capable devices will see the increases in the near future.
